Land Forms

Man has been driven to leave indelible marks on our land for thousands of years; altering the landscape to suit his needs whether it be for navigation, ceremony, art, or for reasons lost in time. I am fascinated with these remnants from previous societies as their purpose is often unknown and speculative. The land examined here was altered between 600-3000 years ago. The amount of work put into these landscape modifications speak of their importance for the people who shaped them. Unfortunately now they are often overlooked as they hold little significance for our current society and beliefs.
