Aesthetics of Decay
In a culture obsessed with order there is often an urgency for the regeneration of decomposing sites where the decaying process is avoided and does not sit comfortably with desires of our modern ideals. My challenge was to seek out the derelict and find a beauty in those objects that the human hand created but nature reclaimed. I looked for moments of time, shadows of life and loss, trapped in a world not of their choosing. These objects are an echo of the old world and speak about the aesthetics of decay and the mundane.
