About The Artist
Fiona Howarth has been an avid photographer for more than 10 years and has won numerous awards for her work. She has had formal training in photography with a Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Visual Arts from the University of the Fraser Valley.
She uses film exclusively for all of her work. All black and white photos are printed by hand in the darkroom and are processed to archival museum standards using non-acid fixers and selenium toner for maximum print life. Colour photos are processed at a professional colour lab and are archival.
The Equipment
The equipment used varies by the objective and nature of the assignment; Nikon F6, Pentax 645, Holga, and an Omega 45F for 4”x5” large format are all used.
This gives a large spectrum of choices for shooting different types of subjects.
